Packaging solutions specialist, Parkside, has announced it has entered into a new partnership with French packaging supplier and distributor, Stratus Packaging.
Stratus Packaging is a European leader in the manufacture and distribution of packaging solutions (adhesive labels, labels for IML, Sleeve) in four market sectors – food and beverages, health and beauty, industry and chemicals.
François Xavier Allilaire, Sales and Marketing Director at Stratus said: “Parkside is one of the leading manufacturers of compostable packaging solutions in Europe, so it is with pride that we are launching this new collaboration. This partnership will allow us to approach the flexible market in France and Switzerland with a niche product, and we are extremely excited about this new relationship. This is the right time and place to be able to offer such a product on the market when customers are so environmentally conscious.”
The agreement will allow Stratus Packaging to work with Parkside on all small runs of compostable packaging and become the sole manufacturer and distributor of Parkside products in France and Switzerland.
Parkside’s Sales and Marketing Director, Paula Birch, said: “We had wanted to expand in the French market for some time and Stratus was the obvious choice to be our number one partner to achieve this. They are leaders in the food, health and beauty, industrial and chemical sectors and by using our innovative solutions with their distribution channels, we hope to be at the forefront of certified home compost solutions.”
Julien Chauveau, Stratus R&D Manager, added: “The signing of this partnership with Parkside is a real opportunity for Stratus to access the flexible market in France with such an interesting and environmentally friendly product. This allows our customers to develop their business while minimising their carbon footprint and enables them to reduce the amount of their waste. We have carried out several tests, especially on inks to try to cover the different scenarios and are eager to see the actions undertaken over the past few months on this revolutionary “home-compost” packaging, which is in line with the times.”
